Paul de la Garza, Principal and Coach
While enjoying a successful career, Paul began to provide business coaching and consulting services on a referral basis. With tremendous business insight and experience, coupled with his personal talents, Paul began to build his reputation as a business coach the produces results. Finally, in 2010, Paul committed to his passion completely, leaving the mortgage industry and launching High Performance Solutions.
Dr. Norman W. Provizer, Associate Instructor
Dr. Norman W. Provizer is a professor of Political Science and the founder/director of the Golda Meir Center for Political Leadership at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver). His writing on leadership has appeared in journals such as The Leadership Quarterly, Leadership and the Humanities, the Journal of African Studies and Comparative Politics. Most recently, he has published chapters in a number of edited volumes, including: Fictional Leaders: Heroes, Villains and Absent Friends; Leadership Studies: The Dialogue of Disciplines; Women as Global Leaders; Creative Breakthroughs in Leadership; Lincoln’s Enduring Legacy; The Great Presidential Triumvirate at Home and Abroad; and A Companion to Franklin D. Roosevelt. He is also the editor of Analyzing the Third World and the co-editor of three books on the Supreme Court, Leaders of the Pack: Polls and Case Studies of Great Supreme Court Justices, Great Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, and Grassroots Constitutionalism.
A former chair of the Political Science Department at MSU Denver, his comments have appeared in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, the Baltimore Sun, the Boston Globe, the New York Post, the Charlotte Observer, the Denver Post, the Rocky Mountain News, the PBS Newshour, Fox News, the Canadian Broadcast Corporation, National Public Radio, and Univision. After receiving his Ph.D. is from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974, he was a Research Associate at the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia and a Professor of Political Science at the Louisiana State University in Shreveport before moving to Denver in 1989.
He also writes and comments on jazz. For 20 years, he was the jazz critic at the Rocky Mountain News and currently writes for DownBeat magazine. Before that, he wrote the “Outside/In” column for Jazziz magazine. He also writes a weekly column and comments on the music for the National Public Radio jazz station in Denver (KUVO-FM). Additionally, he is one of the critics, from across the globe, asked to participate in the annual DownBeat “Critics Poll” and is a Grammy-voting member of the Recording Academy.
Jordin Frey, Executive Assistant
Jordin Frey, originally from Pagosa Springs, Colorado, is a graduate of Colorado State University where she pursued her degree in Communication Studies and Business Administration. She is the marketing specialist and executive assistant at High-Performance Business Solutions where she markets HPBS, organizes logistics of events ran by HPBS and manages lines of communication between Paul de la Garza, and his clients. She is most interested in the effects of social media advertising and the process of effective leadership and training.

With a degree in Social Work and extensive experience in sales and customer service, Julie de la Garza began naturally pursuing her passion for helping people and assisting them in their own self-empowerment through blogging and coaching. She is thrilled to be a part of the High-Performance Business Solutions team and aims to inspire and assist their community.
